Carpal Tunnel Pregnancy: Stretching + Kinesiotape:
Around here, we see this often. A lot of it has to do with carrying babies. We also see this kind of thing during pregnancy due to the added fluid, so it's a combination of things!
We're going to get into these forearms first. I am using Biofreeze because it allows us to use the kinesiotape after. What I'm going to do first is work in here, and then after you're going to do the work. You're going to curl your arm in.
Here we are just lengthening those forearms, creating a lot of space in there. We just go after everything surrounding the area or attached. Here we're just gapping the joints, creating more movement. Again, it's all about the inflammation through here.
Then what we're going to do is get into these triceps because again it has a lot to do with the way we're holding through that elbow.
One of the tricks with this pain, is getting rid of inflammation with an epsom salt bath or ice. Then using a brace at night so your wrist can rest.
Come here into the joint space, give it a nice stretch, cut the corners, and rub. When you put tape on, it pulls up on the skin tissue layer, and it allows to get rid of inflammation. What's nice is that it moves with you, and doesn't stop any movement which as mothers we are constantly moving.
