Sinus + Ear Drainage for Kids

Posted by Jesse Lillejord on
For sinus drainage, ear infections, or when you suspect there might be fluid build up in the inner ear there a few techniques you can do to help. These techniques are done inside the mouth. First you will follow the cheek all the way back until you reach the back of the throat - ideally you want to elicit a gag reflex - then you know you have gone back far enough. Move your finger in a swooping motion similar to the shape of a rainbow! For sinuses - you will follow along the roof of the mouth until you feel the little bump where the hard palate meets the soft palate. Perform a similar swoop along that soft palate - again eliciting a gag reflex is desirable here.
