Lillebaby carrier review

Baby carrier shopping can get overwhelming these days. As chiropractors, we want to make sure baby wearing support both you and babe in the right ways! This Lillebaby carrier review tells you everything you need to know about this trendy carrier!

The Lillebaby Elevate baby carrier is a great option for our moms needing additional core, back and pelvic floor support.

This carrier holds children between 7 and 45 pounds and can be worn in four ways.  Your purchase includes an infant positioning pillow that allows you to carry your baby in a fetal position while they are very young.  Plushly padded and made from cotton, it is comfortable yet breathable.  With an adjustable head support, sun shade, and coming in a variety of colors we highly recommend this carrier.

1. The Core Support

Additional core & pelvic floor support is essential for postpartum moms who are healing from birth. The Lillebaby carrier meets these needs and we gave it a 4 out of 5 in our baby carrier review. The lower band is secure around the waist and provides adequate support for the wearer.

2. The Back Support

Back support is another important feature to consider when reviewing baby carriers. It plays into how well your core & pelvic floor can function as well as common pain complaints postpartum, like low back pain.

The Lillebaby carrier scored a 4 out of 5 in back support. There is a padded region across the low back, in the lumbosacral area. The small padded area helps provide support, however it’s not as supportive as a fully padded strap may be.

3. The Shoulder Support

This Lillebaby carrier has adequate shoulder support. We gave it a 3 out of 5 overall. The shoulder straps are well cushioned, however, the straps do not cross in the back, it goes straight across. [Having a cross-back design helps take some of the load off the shoulders as baby grows!]

4. How Easy Is It to Get On?

When it comes to getting this baby carrier on solo, we gave the Lillebaby carrier the highest rating possible, 5 out of 5!  A feature we can't stop talking about with this baby carrier is the magnetic clasp in the back. It makes it a breeze to put on without help!

5. Babe’s Positioning & Support in the Lillebaby Carrier

This particular carrier provides great support for babe’s growing hips! It adjusts easily to support proper hip development, and encourages a nice wide "M" position for baby. It is certified as hip-healthy by the International Hip Dysplasia Institute.

The Lillebaby Elevate Carrier can hold 7 to 45 pounds! It can be worn 4 different ways : front carry facing in, front carry facing out, back carry, & hip carry. Additionally, the Lillebaby carrier comes with an infant positioning pillow so you can hold newborns in a fetal carry position. As they grow and develop head control, the carrier evolves with them, with 3 different customizable head positions.

Other features we LOVED : the padded leg openings, hidden zipper, and the removable linen sun hood.

6. Lillebaby Carrier Cost

This Lillebaby carrier is affordable, priced at 169.99. This is one of the more affordable, high end options for baby carriers!

You can purchase directly from Lillebaby.com or shop the Lillebaby carrier at Target!
